In this work we present electrical conductivity measurements of n-Propylmercaptan (n-PM) in Methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) aqueous solution at 303 K and 1 atm, on the basis of acid-base neutralization reaction. These experiments are performed at two different concentrations of n-PM i.e (10 ppm and 500 ppm). The change in electrical conductivity (EC) with time in n-PM + MDEA aqueous solutions at 303.05 K, are also related to the change in concentrations of the ionic species. This can be used for further calculations of equilibrium constant and thermodynamic properties. The initial EC decrease found in all experiments is attributed to the dissolution in water of the reactants in their neutral state, and the homogenization of solution.
