The social, environmental and economic factors were determined and analytical hierarchy process (AHP) tool was applied to conclude about its importance. This paper focuses on the inefficiency of the current processing system (different manufacturing stages) whether that is pre manufacturing, during manufacturing and post manufacturing, therefore; it represents a significant burden for the Industry and for the society in different shapes like noise, pollution, resulting in a very unsanitary and unsafe environment. This research considered all three aspects of sustainability. Results of the study helped to identify the critical factors and can ultimately provide insights to formulate decisions to lessen the potential damage to the society. The purpose was to compare two production methods of light diesel oil production by using AHP Technique on the basis of significant indicators of sustainability. AHP is an integrated technique for coordinating and analyzing complex decision. The results revealed that LDO production from crude oil is more sustainable (59%) than LDO production from scrape tyres (41%).</p> ER -
